Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today presented the birth certificate and Malaysian identification card, MyKad, to 20-year-old Mohan Kumar, who was without documents since birth.
Prime Minister presented the documents to Kumar at the MyIndians.com's booth during his visits to Batu Caves in conjunction with Thaipusam festival here today.
Kumar, who hails from Pahang, was said to have been denied the rights to education as his biological parent did not report his birth to the authority.
The youth, who is currently living with his aunt in Kuala Lumpur, had sought the assistance of MyIndians.com, a web portal that aims to disseminate information on education, training, business and job opportunities.
With the help of the National Registration Department, Kumar managed to get his birth certificate and also his MyKad.
